Tonight, is just a quick post to say how thrilled I am that we did not receive any freezing rain. As much as I love winter, freezing rain and I do not mix well together. It is so mild out that one would think it was Spring, instead of the first week of January.
It is absolutely beautiful out, and one can hear the crunch of the snow under foot. Although, it is not that "crisp crunch" that one encounters on a clear and cold winters' night... I am happy with any "crunch" at this point....to not hear the slip sliding sound of my feet giving way to the hard unforgiving ice.
